Membership Policy

1. Introduction
The Association of Liberia Human Resource Professionals (ALHRP) is Liberia’s premier body for HR practitioners. It exists to promote excellence, professionalism, and ethical practice in human resource management across public, private, and civil society sectors. This Membership Policy outlines eligibility, categories, obligations, and fees for individuals and organizations seeking recognition and participation in the Association.
This policy is guided by the Constitution of ALHRP and aligned with resolutions passed at its Annual Conventions.
2. Membership Categories and Eligibility

3. Payment Structure and Obligations
In addition to annual dues, the following are mandatory and recurring requirements for all registered members:

Exclusions: Transportation, accommodation, and personal meals are the responsibility of the individual member.
4. Payment Deadline
All financial obligations must be met no later than four (4) months prior to the next Annual Convention.
Example: For an April 2026 Convention, dues must be paid by November 30, 2025, or at the latest January 31, 2026.
5. Reinstatement of Delinquent Members and Firms
Any delinquent individual member, consultancy firm, or independent consultant seeking reinstatement must:
Settle all outstanding arrears for the previous membership year
Pay the full membership fee for the current registration year
Only upon full settlement will the member or firm be considered active and granted access to ALHRP platforms, chatrooms, and privileges.
6. Support for Unemployed Compliant Members
For members in good standing who have lost employment for reasons not in violation of the ALHRP Code of Ethics, the ALHRP Leadership shall:
Convene to assess the circumstances;
Make a discretionary decision to allow the member continued access to ALHRP chatrooms and programs;
Consider waivers or temporary support measures to keep the member engaged during unemployment.
This initiative ensures committed HR professionals are not disconnected from the professional community during difficult periods.
7. Member and Employer Notification
Upon registration or renewal:
An official letter shall be sent to each member’s employer notifying them of:
The member’s status and affiliation;
Their financial and professional obligations;
ALHRP’s expectations of employer support for professional development.
Members shall also receive a breakdown of their financial responsibilities and timelines.
8. Member Commitments and Ethics
All members must sign and affirm their adherence to the ALHRP Membership Commitment and Behavior Bond, which includes:
Financial Responsibility: Timely and full payment of dues and fees;
Active Engagement: Participation in events and programs;
Professional Conduct: Upholding integrity and ethics;
Community Support: Encouraging collaboration and growth among peers.
9. Default and Sanctions
Members who do not fulfill their obligations may:
Be marked as inactive;
Lose eligibility to vote or run for office.
Be removed from official ALHRP platforms (e.g., chatrooms, events).
Reinstatement will require:
Full settlement of all financial obligations; and
A $10 USD reactivation fee.
10. Membership Benefits
Members in good standing are entitled to:
Official ALHRP membership certificate and ID;
Eligibility to vote and hold office;
Access to workshops, seminars, and professional training;
Endorsement for certifications and job placements;
Networking opportunities and professional recognition;
Visibility and contributions to national HR policy initiatives.
Recommendation for jobs (letter of recommendations, direct placement, etc)
Discount on all ALHRP national training
Advertising HR products (Registered HR firms only)
Eligibility to benefit from the Welfare and Benevolent Policy
11. Review Clause
This policy shall be reviewed every two (2) years or earlier, based on recommendations from the Executive Committee or Membership Committee, with final approval from the General Assembly.
